Directed by Dana Adam Shapiro, "Monogamy" is set for theatrical release in New York City on March 11th and in L.A. on March 18th after its initial debut at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival. The psychological drama stars Rashida Jones, Chris Messina, and Meital Dohan.
"Monogamy" is based on an engaged couple living in Brooklyn, New York. As a groom-to-be, Theo (Chris Messina) is anxious about saying “I Do” to his fiancé Nat (Rashida Jones). Bored and sick of working as a wedding photographer, Theo takes the unconventional route of creating a company called “Gumshoot”. The new venture allows voyeurs to hire him as their own personal photographer. To do this he follows individuals and takes pictures of them in their everyday lives. The new endeavor seems exciting enough to keep him occupied… at least until he comes across a new client by the name of Subgirl (Meital Dohan). His obsession with the mystery woman causes everything in his life to take a backseat to the camera, including his impending nuptials to Nat. At the same time, Theo is made aware of some burning questions that await him and his fiancé at home.
