After undergoing quite the risky surgery to remove kidney stones just two weeks ago, Phillip Phillips is getting back to what he loves most: the music.
Last night (June 22), the "American Idol" winner took to his Twitter page showing that he's getting back in the studio writing, "Had a blast in the studio with (musician Ben Neil) today. It's coming along, it's coming along. Yep."
After enduring months of excruciating pain to stay in the competition for season 11 of "American Idol", it looks like Phillip Philips will once again have to delay an extremely important kidney surgery.
Due to massive stones in his right kidney the 21-year-old was set to go under the knife on Wednesday (May 29), but due to a sinus infection that caused him to have a high temperature doctors advised that he delay.
Moments after being crowned the season 11 winner of "American Idol", Phillip Phillips stepped back stage with Ryan Seacrest and opened up about the win and his relationship with his girlfriend.
Ryan asked Phillip what he said to his parents after walking off stage and Phillip admitted, “I couldn’t really talk! I think I was still crying. They were just saying ‘We love you, and we’re so proud of you.’ They said ‘We knew it would happen,’ but I didn’t. I never saw any of this ever happening. It’s just so surreal to me.”
